Job description

We're looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Engineer to build the semantic models and dashboards that drive business-critical decisions across the reinsurance business. You'll sit at the intersection of analytics engineering and BI - modeling data for scale, building trusted semantic layers, and turning them into version-controlled, self-service dashboards the business relies on. This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable designing complex data models in Snowflake, integrating operational data from Aurora, and delivering polished, well-governed Tableau dashboards that stakeholders trust to make real decisions.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards end-to-end - from data source creation and KPI definition through visualization, layout, and performance tuning - that business teams depend on for critical decisions.
  • Build and maintain certified, reusable semantic models and data sources that give the business a single, trusted version of the truth.
  • Apply version control and CI/CD to dashboards and workbooks so changes are reviewable, traceable, and safely promoted across environments.
  • Develop complex semantic and dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas) optimized for query performance and reliability.
  • Build and manage data warehouses on Snowflake; integrate and model operational data from Aurora MySQL.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into clear, actionable dashboards and self-service analytics.
  • Write clean, performant, and testable code in Python and SQL.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and observability across analytics assets.
  • Optimize cost, performance, and scalability across cloud data infrastructure.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 6+ years in Analytics / BI engineering.
  • BI / Dashboards: Deep, hands-on Tableau expertise - building and maintaining interactive, business-critical dashboards, including version control of workbooks and data sources.
  • Semantic & Data Modeling: Proven experience designing complex semantic and dimensional models for business reporting.
  • Data Platforms: Hands-on with Snowflake.
  • Databases: Aurora (MySQL / Postgres) or comparable relational stores.
  • Programming: Strong in Python and SQL.
  • Cloud: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud - AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Engineering Practices: Version control (Git) and CI/CD applied to analytics and BI assets.

You may not meet every requirement listed in the job description. If you bring broad expertise and alignment to the role and resonate with our core values, we encourage you to apply.
