Oak Ridge, TN | Senior Data & Analytics Architect | Full-time
We are actively recruiting a Senior Data & Analytics Architect for our client in Oak Ridge, TN. This is a full-time opportunity that will require onsite work in Oak Ridge, TN on a regular basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data and analytics leader to drive enterprise reporting strategy, architect scalable data solutions, and deliver business intelligence capabilities that support operational and strategic decision-making. Must have expertise in Power BI or Tableau, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT processes, SQL, and Python.
Position Summary
The Senior Data & Analytics Architect will lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. This individual will partner with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and IT organizations to identify key metrics, design end-to-end data architectures, develop scalable data pipelines, and deliver interactive reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders to identify reporting needs, KPIs, data sources, and dashboard objectives.
• Design end-to-end data solutions spanning source systems, ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, and visualization platforms.
• Develop and optimize SQL and Python-based data transformation and integration processes.
• Create dimensional data models, including star schemas and other analytics-focused structures.
• Build, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence dashboards.
• Implement data security, access controls, authentication standards, and row-level security (RLS).
• Evaluate and recommend business intelligence and observability tools based on organizational requirements.
• Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and training materials.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, scalability, and performance.
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Data Architect, Analytics Architect, BI Architect, or similar senior-level data and analytics professional.
• Expertise with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent business intelligence platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and star schema design.
• Advanced SQL development skills.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience designing and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of dashboard performance optimization and visualization best practices.
• Experience gathering requirements and communicating effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business objectives into scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics environments.
• Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
• Experience evaluating and implementing modern analytics and observability tools.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms preferred.
