Job Description
The Senior Benefits Education Analyst is responsible for designing, aligning, and delivering educational initiatives that support Total Rewards programs and services. Serving as a key liaison among subject matter experts, communications teams, and events management, this role ensures benefit-related information is clear, accurate, and accessible for employees and dependents.
Key duties include:
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge base articles
  • Managing content for the intranet and SharePoint sites
  • Coordinating communications with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Overseeing the creation and review of benefit brochures, recruitment materials, online materials, and summary plan descriptions to ensure regulatory compliance and engage diverse employee groups
  • Supporting in-person and virtual events to ensure comprehensive benefits education and enhance the employee experience
  • Consulting with employees on eligibility, provisions, and other matters related to benefit design and plan provisions
  • Supporting and presenting the education as a speaker

The Senior Benefits Education Analyst provides targeted education and support for Human Resources staff, leadership, and client relations, including "train the trainer" sessions for new initiatives, open enrollment, department education, workforce reduction and labor relations guidance and support regarding benefits.
This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/ we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
This position is Hybrid and must live within driving distance of Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN for weekly on-site expectations. Minimal travel to other Mayo Clinic locations (MN, WI, AZ, FLA) is required.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related degree and three to five years of benefits administration experience. Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with project management with a proven ability to employ a systematic structured approach to goal accomplishment and to identify risks and opportunities and develops contingency strategies. Ability to analyze and project financial data. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment. Ability to work independently and interact collaboratively as part of a team.
