Job description

Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to provide security support for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Hanscom AFB.ย  This is a full-time position.ย 

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all system and application deliverables meet the requirements of all DoD and Air Force Cybersecurity policies
  • Ensure that all system deliverables comply with DoD and Air Force cybersecurity policy, specifically DoDI 8500.01, Cybersecurity, and AFI 17-130, Air Force Cybersecurity Program Management.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and Air Force Certification and Accreditation policies, specifically Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Systems, and AFI 17-101, The Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Air Force Information Technology.
  • Support activities and meet the requirements of DoDI 8520.02, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Public Key (PK) Enabling, in order to achieve standardized, PKI-supported capabilities for biometrics, digital signatures, encryption, identification and authentication.
Qualifications

3+ years experience in cyber security or information assurance including at least 3 years in a DoD environment. ย Bachelor's degree in a related field. ย Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.ย  Experience with the certification and accreditation (C&A), assessment and authorization (A&A), and RMF.ย  Significant experience in vulnerability scanning and analysis, including the use of automated tools and vulnerability management systems.ย  Knowledge of intrusion prevention and network access control tools/systems. ย Must have experience with acquisition and sustainment.ย  Understanding of system audit principles and security risk assessment. ย Must have a solid understanding of network infrastructure and mission assurance.ย  Familiar with Federal government and DOD standards for IA/security including DIACAP, FISMA, NIST, and OMB.ย  Must have solid communications skills and be capable of working with all levels of an organization. ย Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.

The projected compensation range for this position is $150,600-$165,400. There are multiple factors that can impact a final salary, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (if remote or different from the stated location for this position), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
