Position OverviewThe Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving enterprise security engineering capabilities. This role focuses on building scalable, resilient security controls and platforms that protect the organization's infrastructure, applications, and data.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise across multiple security domains such as identity, network security, cloud security, endpoint protection, or application security. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is responsible for making sound technical decisions in complex environments. The Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer partners closely with cybersecurity operations, identity, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to influence architecture decisions, embed security into engineering workflows, and ensure controls are effective against real-world threats. This role also provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers without direct people management responsibility.A Day in the Life

Security Architecture & Engineering Leadership

  • Design and implement enterprise-grade security engineering solutions across multiple domains.
  • Lead complex security engineering initiatives requiring deep technical expertise.
  • Influence architecture decisions to reduce attack surface and systemic risk.
  • Ensure security controls are resilient, scalable, and aligned with real-world threats.
  • Establish engineering patterns, standards, and reference architectures.
  • Review and validate designs and implementations for security effectiveness.

Strategic Collaboration & Technical Influence

  • Partner closely with cybersecurity operations, identity, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to align engineering and operational security.

You'll Come With
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience IT
  • 5+ technical cybersecurity experience (3+ years incident response and/or detection engineering)
  • Expert level knowledge of detection engineering and incident response
  • At least 1 expert level cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CASP, CCSP, etc.
