Reading Cooperative Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join our collaborative and high-performing Credit Team. Reporting directly to the SVP, Chief Credit Officer, this role is a key contributor to the Bank's commercial lending success, providing independent credit analysis and underwriting support across a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate, construction, and commercial & industrial lending relationships.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will play a vital role in evaluating and underwriting commercial lending opportunities while helping the Bank maintain a strong and disciplined credit culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Independently underwrite commercial real estate, construction, and commercial & industrial loan requests for both new and existing customers.
  • Prepare clear, well-supported written credit presentations for approval and loan committee review.
  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, personal financial statements, rent rolls, leases, budgets, and market data.
  • Develop cash flow analyses, evaluate collateral positions, review appraisals, and stress-test financial assumptions.
  • Assess both quantitative and qualitative risk factors, including borrower performance, management strength, and industry conditions.
  • Recommend risk ratings and identify appropriate loan structures, covenants, risk mitigants, and credit enhancements.
  • Perform annual and interim reviews, modifications, covenant testing, and portfolio monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors on appraisals, environmental reports, inspections, and other due diligence requirements.
  • Partner closely with lending officers to ensure efficient turnaround times and thoughtful credit decisions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and;
  • Minimum 2 years of credit analysis experience working with various loan types (CRE, C&I, Construction) for relationships up to and exceeding 10+ million in exposure or,
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
