Job description

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Credit Risk Group Manager for its Irving, Texas location.
Duties: Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit and preparing reports with credit information for use in decision-making. Apply credit risk management standards to provide financial/credit analysis, greenlight transactions, undertake underwriting, facilitate first-line-of-defense credit approval, and manage subsequent credit monitoring. Apply understanding of capital markets products and complex financing and product structures including market-related products, leverage lending loan products, Asset Basel Loan (ABL) products and trade finance products, Oversee a team of analysts in supporting credit monitoring of the portfolio of Banking and International (B&I) clients under ICM. Ensure consistency of underwriting and credit/financial analysis. Adopt best practices in credit analysis, underwriting and monitoring, including end-to-end underwriting process from early origination discussions to development of credit approval memos and senior approval forums. Ensure Credit Approval Memo packages are complete and accurate; perform enterprise valuation analysis; and review financial data, target-market and risk acceptance criteria, projection modeling, stress testing, and other in-depth analysis performed by junior resources, while maintaining data accuracy and integrity. Analyze forecasting models, debt rating models and ratings and execute remedial management action plans. Facilitate relationships with clients in Banking and Risk, and with regulators, Internal Audit, Credit Risk Review (CRR) and other control functions. Provide strategic insights and sensitivity to macro and regulatory issues, and their impact on Risk families, including operational and franchise risks. Discuss and address issues associated with the allocation of risk assets and risk capital with banking and product organizations. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 3 years of experience as a Credit Risk Analyst, Credit Risk Management, Underwriter, Portfolio Manager or related position involving underwriting and credit risk management in the global financial services industry. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the stated fields and 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience underwriting and credit risk management in the global financial services industry. 3 years of experience must include: Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis; Financial modeling and valuation; Regulatory framework of corporate loans; Data accuracy and integrity assurance; Stakeholders and people management; 7-year model, discounted cash flow, weighted average cost of capital, peer comparable and trading comparable; Advanced Excel; and Data quality control management.
