Job Description We are seeking an Application Architect III to join our dynamic team supporting a global Trade Event Processor platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in core Java for high-volume, low-latency, distributed systems and a proven ability to deliver new features, stability improvements, and production support outcomes in a Linux and Agile environment. Responsibilities: Design and implement new functionality for a distributed, multi-threaded event processing platform using core Java.
Contribute across the SDLC, including requirements discussions, development, testing, release, and production support. Investigate system behavior and resolve queries in partnership with first-line support and global stakeholders. Identify and implement fixes and optimizations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Required Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of professional core Java development experience. Strong understanding of object-oriented design and development principles. Working knowledge of Java garbage collection and concurrent, low-latency I/O.
Experience building on Linux in multi-threaded, large-scale, fault-tolerant systems. Messaging technologies such as TIBCO RV/EMS, JMS, AMPS, or Apache Kafka. Demonstrated ability to operate independently in decision making and handle support inquiries.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Agile practices and release coordination. Background in global trading systems or event-driven architectures. Top Soft Skills: Team player with interpersonal skills and integrity.
Ownership of investigations and resolutions with judgment on when to escalate. Ability to work across development, testing, support analysis, and release coordination. Additional Details: Start: ASAP.
