CORPORATE CONTROLLER
Butler, PA

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join a well-established, privately held organization with a long-standing reputation for operational excellence and continued growth. This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to partner closely with senior leadership, drive financial strategy, and lead a high-performing accounting organization during an exciting period of expansion.

This position is ideal for a strategic finance leader who enjoys balancing executive-level planning with hands-on leadership of accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

OVERVIEW OF THE CORPORATE CONTROLLER ROLE:

  • Provide executive leadership for all accounting and finance operations, including general accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end/year-end close.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership, providing financial insight that supports operational and long-term business objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and other financial partners.
  • Improve working capital through effective oversight of cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Drive financial process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and financial reporting tools that provide actionable business insights.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, business integrations, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders across multiple business units to improve financial performance and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and adherence to accounting best practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CORPORATE CONTROLLER:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
  • Combination of public accounting and corporate accounting leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience serving as a Controller, Corporate Controller, Vice President of Finance, or similar executive finance leader.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and audit management.
  • Proven experience leading organizational growth, financial system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience partnering with senior executives to influence strategic business decisions.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to regional business locations.
