Methods+Mastery has an immediate opening for an experienced, talented, and energetic Managing Supervisor (MS), Consumer Tech to join our team and help our clients maximize their communications efforts through earned media and creator campaigns that place data and insights at their core. This position provides an exciting opportunity for a sharp, multi-tool communications professional with deep consumer technology experience to work with and manage a dynamic, high-performing team servicing a Fortune 50 consumer technology client on programs encompassing hardware and software product communications, AI product communications, media relations, earned and paid creator work, experiential events, owned media, executive communications, thought leadership, and issues management.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000.
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Account Leadership: Play a pivotal role in handling many of the day-to-day activities for the consumer tech account teams, including working with senior members of the team to drive client business and programs, and guiding clients and agency teams on both proactive and reactive communications strategy aligned with and in support of client business objectives.
Client & Team Management: Serve as a day-to-day client lead contact, and manage work streams and teams on program execution, including material development and oversight as well as project and account management. Structure, lead and motivate teams, and identify additional internal and/or external expertise to add value to client experience.
Program Development: Develop and manage integrated consumer tech and product communications programs that drive earned media and creator attention.
Creator Campaigns: Manage and execute both earned and paid creator campaigns from end-to-end, seamlessly blending traditional PR with modern influencer strategies.
Modern PR Workflows: Act as a true multi-tool communications professional, championing modern PR workflows and adapting quickly to the evolving media landscape.
AI Integration: Utilize the latest AI tools to optimize media research, drafting, and outreach. Be a catalyst for integrating AI tools into your own work, while also guiding team usage.
Data-Driven Counsel: Work across Methods+Mastery disciplines to strive to place data and insights at the heart of all client recommendations, seeking opportunities for clients to utilize full breadth and depth of agency capabilities, expertise and offerings.
Qualifications
Must-haves:
Experience: 6+ years of experience in PR for consumer technology brands.
Cross-Industry Knowledge: Experience across arts/culture/film/entertainment spaces.
People Management: Leadership and team-building experience, including management of local and geographically distributed account and client teams.
Modern Comms Skillset: High comfortability using modern PR workflows and acting as a multi-tool comms professional capable of wearing multiple hats.
Creator Campaign Expertise: Familiarity with and proven experience managing both end-to-end earned and paid creator campaigns. This includes creator identification, vetting, relationship management, content reviews and measurement.
AI Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience utilizing the latest AI tools to streamline and optimize media research, content drafting, influencer identification and tracking, and media outreach.
Media Relations: Broad technology business understanding, strong earned media strategy chops and existing relationships with tech, arts & culture, lifestyle and business reporters and new media (e.g. creators, podcasters).
Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical abilities, and critical, creative thinking. Can lead the development of programs for clients that are distinctive, relevant, creative, and measurable.
Client Counsel: Ability to engage with and counsel senior level decision-makers across the client's business and deliver connective insights to assist clients in driving alignment and execution of cross-company initiatives. Experience building relationships and working with diverse stakeholders effectively.
Communication Skills: Strong writing skills and ability to communicate effectively. Experience with brand (consumer) and executive (C-Suite) communications. Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, draw conclusions, make recommendations, establish reasonable timelines and areas of responsibility, anticipate costs, and identify measures of success.
Work Ethic: Energetic self-starter and resourceful problem solver - gets things moving and keeps them on track. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities. Collaborative attitude and the ability to thrive and excel in a challenging fast-paced environment.
