Job description

American National is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to support the Production Enablement team within our Annuity Business Systems Analysis organization. This role is responsible for leading issue resolution, driving root cause analysis, and influencing system and process improvements across annuity operations and agile teams.
Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Research and analyze annuity production support tickets, questions, and system-related problems to determine root cause and recommend timely, effective solutions
  • Identify trends across issues, lead root cause analysis for high-impact, recurring issues, and recommend system and/or process improvements
  • Apply problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and business knowledge to support complex, high-impact, and cross functional
  • Recognize when a request requires escalation to an agile team for a more comprehensive solution, system enhancement, or code change, and communicate the need clearly to the appropriate partners
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards and training materials to ensure alignment across teams
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and process guidance effectively through written, verbal, and interpersonal interactions
  • Follow tickets through to completion and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and quality
  • Mentor and provide guidance to the Production Enablement team and contribute to team development
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify efficiency opportunities
  • Provide high-quality service to internal and external customers

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Expert-level analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research issues and recommend solutions
  • Deep technical aptitude with demonstrated expertise across systems, processes, and tools
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Experience creating documentation, job aids, procedures, or training materials
  • Annuity knowledge preferred, including an understanding of annuity operations, products, and administration systems
