Saalexย is seeking anย Computer Systems Analyst Iย inย Camarillo, CA to support missioncritical technical analysis activities.ย This is not an IT support or help desk role.ย The position focuses onย mathematical analysis, interpretation of grid-based data, and geospatial coordinatesย in support of operational and engineering activities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working withย maps, grid charts, latitude/longitude coordinates, and structured technical datasets. Exposure toย basic scripting or automationย is highly desirable

Position Type:ย Full-Time

Salary:ย $27.63 - $31.08

Work Location:ย Onsite. Travel to remote company work locations may be required.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze and interpretย grid charts, maps, and coordinate-based data sets
  • Work withย latitude/longitude and coordinate reference systemsย to support technical and operational analyses
  • Performย basic mathematical calculations and data validationย related to spatial or technical data
  • Develop, modify, or maintainย simple script filesย to assist with data processing or automation tasks
  • Gather, compile, and analyze structured data for reports and technical documentation
  • Support factfinding and technical analysis of routine operational or analytical problems
  • Maintain organized digital filing systems and structured datasets
  • Assist senior analysts and engineers withย data analysis, scripting tasks, and technical projects
  • Interface with engineers, analysts, and end users to clarify data requirements and analysis outcomes
  • Follow all operational, safety, quality, and environmental procedures related to assigned work
  • Utilize basic communication systems and comfortability utilizing comms
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

Required:

  • Proficiency in mathematics, including the ability to interpret charts, tables, and numerical data
  • Ability toย read and understand grid charts, maps, and coordinate systems
  • Working knowledge ofย latitude and longitude coordinates
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work with structured data and produce accurate results
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team

Desired:

  • Experience withย scripting or automationย (e.g., batch files, Python, PowerShell, or similar)
  • Background inย geospatial data, mapping, or coordinate systems
  • Experience supportingย engineering, operational, or analytical teams
  • Familiarity with technical documentation and data reporting environments

Education:

Associates Degree OR Vocational/technical training beyond high school and a minimum of six years of job-related experience.

Security Clearance:

Interim secret clearance required to start. Active secret clearance preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness are required. This position also may require working overtime hours, as well as weekends.
