Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Validate pricing uploads in the ERP system against approved price lists/initiatives flagging any mismatches for immediate correction.
  • Document findings in a centralized log, quantify any revenue leakage, and partner with relevant teams to remediate root-cause issues.
  • Reconcile actual vs. forecast margin for each pricing program by pulling transaction-level data, calculating variance drivers (volume, discount depth, mix), and presenting a concise variance-analysis deck to the Pricing Director each month.
  • Build a pricing-impact scorecard that consolidates margin uplift, win-rate change, and revenue variance for each initiative; update it monthly and circulate to the Pricing Director and Divisional heads.
  • Schedule periodic reviews of customer pricing performance and develop recommendations on changes needed to drive profitability
  • Develop presentation material that summarizes findings and provides insights and next steps
  • Provide daily pricing support to the sales force and branch personnel on pricing issues related to vendor-supported programs.
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc reporting as requested by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • 3-5 years of experience in strategic pricing, financial analysis, procurement analytics, or business planning.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing pricing compliance and overseeing pricing governance program.
  • Previous experience developing price-volume-mix (PVM) models.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to build clear, concise business cases and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with both internal teams and vendor partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly and accurately.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field (or 3+ years of equivalent experience).
  • Experience in HVAC, building products, wholesale distribution, or a similar industry.
  • Familiarity with vendor-managed pricing portals or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of cost-plus, competitive, or value-based pricing methodologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior analysts.

Work Environment: Office Setting. Hybrid Schedule, working 2 days minimum at the office/branch a week.

SUMMARY
The Senior Pricing Analyst - Sales Enablement serves as the primary analytical resource responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and tracking the execution, deployment, adherence and impact of pricing related initiatives. This role will also provide visibility on the overall performance of such initiatives and provide reporting on select forums highlighting areas of alignment, concern, and/or opportunities with the divisions. The Senior Pricing Analyst will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Divisional leadership to drive margin improvement and capture incremental revenue and margin opportunities through pricing initiatives.
