JOB SUMMARY
Job Summary
The Senior Warehouse Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment (MHE) within a warehouse environment. This role supports receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping operations while ensuring compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures. The position requires extensive equipment operating experience, warehouse knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and teamwork.
Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Location: 305 Chaney Ave., Suite C, Greenwood, IN 46143
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the safe operation of equipment during material handling and warehousing, as required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of equipment while moving material.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of equipment while entering and exiting of trailers.
  • Responsible for the safety of all personnel within given safety zones of operating equipment.
  • Demonstrate, lead, and assist in work from a variety of source documents to verify quantities, parts, destinations and timing prior to material movement.
  • Demonstrate, lead, and assist in the uses of machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging.
  • Responsible for the safe operation, and servicing of mechanical, motorized, and or electrical equipment in the facilities work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
    • Safely operate warehouse equipment, including:
      • Dock Stocker
      • Reach Truck
      • Order Picker
      • Forklifts
      • Hand trucks, dollies, and other material handling equipment
    • Load, unload, transport, and store products and materials throughout the facility.
    • Safely enter and exit trailers while handling materials.
    • Verify product quantities, part numbers, destinations, and shipment schedules using source documents and warehouse systems.
    • Assist with receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping inventory.
    • Operate packaging equipment such as weighing, banding, wrapping, and labeling machines.
    • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
    • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure personnel remain clear of equipment operating zones.
    • Support inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.
    • Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
    • Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned by management.

    Required Experience & Skills
    • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience.
    • Experience operating material handling equipment, including Dock Stocker, Reach Truck, and Order Picker.
    • Experience using:
      • Saws
      • Nail guns
      • Drills
    • Hands-on experience building pallets, skids, and crates.
    • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material flow processes.
    • Ability to read, write, and interpret work instructions, shipping documents, and inventory records.
    • Basic mathematical skills for inventory counts and measurements.
    • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and warehouse management systems.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Logistics or supply chain experience.
    • Experience with distribution and transportation operations.
    • Certification or documented experience operating powered industrial equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
  • Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
  • Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
