Amteck is currently looking to add a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to our team. We are looking for people who are interested in working with a company that promotes growth and longevity within the industry. This position will partner with a multi-disciplinary team to develop designs of electrical power systems for construction projects located across the country in a fast-paced, challenging, fun and rewarding environment.

Opportunities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Innovating project approach to optimize safety, schedule, and profitability.
  • Training and mentoring less experienced engineers in their technical and professional development.
  • Performing quality control reviews.
  • Providing support for our clients during construction.
  • Performing field inspections, compliance documentation, and factory acceptance testing.
  • Leading a team of electrical engineering professionals to ensure project success.
  • Presenting designs and proposals to clients, permitting authorities, public interest groups, etc.
  • Corresponding and/or meeting with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Leading project proposal efforts.
  • Advancing into leadership roles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program (preferred) 10 plus years of related experience.
  • P.E. License or ability to acquire one.
  • Experience in AutoCAD electrical and Revit (Preferred).
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a dynamic, quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with National Electrical Code.
  • Experience in electrical design and circuits.
  • Strong administrative, accounting, computer, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
  • Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors.
  • Ability to build trust and influence others internally and externally.
  • Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards.
  • 10% travel required.
