Job description

Summary:

  • As a CNC Machinist Setup/Operator, you will be integral to the manufacturing process, responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision components. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in blueprint reading, machining, and precision measuring instruments to ensure high-quality output. Your experience with Fanuc controls and knowledge of CNC programming will enhance operational efficiency.

  • We currently have a mid-level to senior CNC Mill and Lathe setup position open. Work week is generally 40 hours (Weekend Shift is 36 hours with opportunity to pick up additional days as needed)

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will assist production in problem solving/troubleshooting of current product as well as continuous improvement. Most of our work is milling with a small amount of turning.

  • Candidate will also operate own setups. Applicants must have the minimum experience requested below: Able to work in a fast paced job shop environment (multiple parts a day)5+ years setup experience in mills and lathes Mazak, Mori-Seiki, Okuma, OKK, Fanuc controls experience is required

Qualifications:

  • Having had prior work with 5 axis, Fanuc and Mazak controls.

  • Sort, mark, or tag finished work.

  • Lift, move, clamp, and accurately bolt fixtures onto the machines.

  • Transports material and help position work pieces.

  • Check parts using appropriate inspection equipment ensuring measurements are accurate.

  • Compares work-pieces with straight edge to verify conformance to work specifications.

  • Reports to a supervisor if any dimensions are out of place or questionable.

  • Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smoothens surfaces from work pieces, using hand tools and portable power tools.

  • Cleans the work area, machines, tools, equipment, floors, and all other area in the work place as needed.

  • Integrex experience is a bonus.
