Job description

Position Summary:
Bessemer Trust is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial minded Senior Wealth Advisor focused exclusively on new business development. This individual will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and converting ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) prospective clients into long-term clients within their assigned geographic region. The ideal candidate will have deep industry relationships, a consultative approach, and a proven track record of successfully sourcing and establishing new client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to attract prospective clients.
  • Source new UHNW prospective clients through personal networks, centers of influence, and strategic partnerships.
  • Represent Bessemer Trust at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness, generate leads, and expand community outreach.
  • Lead prospective client engagement efforts from initial relationship inception to onboarding, including prospective client due diligence, meeting management, and adhering to all compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with key specialists across Bessemer Trust's Wealth Planning, Family Office Management, Investments, and Client Advisors to develop customized and tailored prospective client solutions.
  • Build and expand relationships with attorneys, accountants, family offices and their firms in addition to other referral sources.
  • Leverage thought leadership and firm resources to engage prospective clients and deepen interest.
  • Stay informed on competitor landscape and UHNW client trends within the assigned geographic region.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on business development strategies and opportunities.
  • Coach and mentor Associate Wealth Advisors and Wealth Advisor Analysts to support continuous career development.
  • Partner with Wealth Advisor Solutions team on digital marketing efforts within the assigned geographic region.

Qualifications:
  • Substantial experience in the wealth management industry and knowledge of related product areas.
  • M.B.A. or J.D. preferred, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investments, tax and estate planning and/or banking services.
  • Proven track record of successful business building and relationship management.
  • Collaborative and excellent communicator.
  • Goal-oriented, self-starter.
  • Series 7 license and a Series 63 license (or its equivalent), or willing to obtain.
