You enjoy working closely with clients and are focused on providing effective, pragmatic and innovative solutions.
With demonstrated leadership skills, you understand the importance of teaching and coaching members of your team, with your own desire for business acumen and technical growth.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Establishes and maintains relationships to develop a network of contacts and supports ongoing business development initiatives with existing and new clients.
  • Manages projects and develops work plans to create a context for engineering team to provide superior service to the client.
  • Monitors project progress and internal costs by adapting priorities and managing team resources to meet internal and client demands.
  • Applies knowledge of business principles to meet team goals consistent with organizational strategy to achieve financial stability and to ensure long term growth.
  • Fosters technical excellence and innovation personally and within RJC by identifying, developing and/or implementing new and better ways of delivering innovative thinking and practical results.
  • Supports, coaches and mentors junior staff to develop their skills and achieve their potential.
  • Act as EOR (Engineer of Record) for small to large scale projects by designing and managing new building projects or renovations to existing structures.
  • Fulfill an in-house technical resource role for specific aspects of a project, including performing structural design, calculations and analyses of building structures.
  • Visit job sites in Las Vegas & beyond.
  • Write reports for on-site and building conditions.
Professional Qualifications & Experience
Education & Experience
  • Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) with Nevada Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Structural Design, preferably with a consulting firm - with a strong background in Structural Engineering
  • Prior working experience with RISA, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, etc. considered a strong asset
