Job description

Overview
This position supports and facilitates purchasing activities for the Bank, including volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies. Identifies and implements best practices for purchasing processes, inventory control and quality assurance. Responsible for executing procurement orders with suppliers under existing contracts, reseller agreements, and blanket purchase orders. Ensures adherence to product specifications and standards throughout all purchasing activities. Manages warehouses of unique office products, print materials, and specialty items for business units, including management of internal inventories and records. Supports special initiatives through purchasing expertise. Provides training and oversight to less experienced associates in the group.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supplier Management - Facilitates supplier management through ongoing review of supplier service, performance, and relationships. Resolves the more complex supplier issues as reported or expedited by either suppliers or Bank associates. Solicits, reviews, and negotiates bids to guarantee competitive pricing among approved suppliers. Participates in pricing negotiations or other activities that support commodity purchases.
Purchasing - Purchases necessary items for Bank lines of business and projects through existing supplier contracts, reseller agreements, and blanket purchase orders. Monitors and maintains product standards established by business owners to ensure consistent product quality. Investigates and addresses any purchase or ordering problems.
Peer Leadership - Leads, guides, and provides oversight to buyers responsible for managing both physical and virtual warehouses for unique office products, print materials, and specialty items. Ensures warehouse inventory is appropriately organized and available as needed. Mentors less experienced associates. Directs oversight of commodity items.
