Job description

As the Senior Product Manager on the Recommendations and Personalization team, you’ll shape personalized experiences that help customers find the right products, content, and offers. You’ll set product direction, work with engineering, data science, design, analytics, and business teams, and turn customer insights into clear priorities. Your work will support better engagement, conversion, retention, and customer decisions. You’ll also help junior team members grow through clear feedback and guidance.
In this role, you'll primarily work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location. However, you must live within a drivable distance to our corporate campus in Richfield, Minnesota. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team, and the recruiter or hiring manager will provide additional details during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
  • Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for recommendations and personalized experiences.
  • Define success measures and use customer and business data to set priorities.
  • Partner with technical and business teams to deliver ranking, scoring, offers, and cross-channel personalization.
  • Write clear requirements, guide backlog planning, and support releases from start to finish.
  • Lead testing and use results to improve the product roadmap.
  • Build reusable personalization capabilities while supporting responsible customer data use and privacy needs.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools and workflows to accelerate insight generation, prioritization, and team effectiveness.

Basic qualifications
  • 6 years of product management experience in Agile digital environments
  • 2 years of experience with recommendations, personalization, search, ranking, or machine-learning decision systems
  • 2 years of experience leading work across engineering, analytics, design, and data science teams
  • 6 years of experience setting product strategy, managing roadmaps, and measuring results
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications
  • 8 years of product management experience
  • Experience with enterprise-scale recommendation or personalization products
  • Experience building shared product capabilities, such as customer segments or cross-channel decisioning
  • Familiarity with ranking, retrieval, experimentation, model hosting, or performance monitoring
  • Ability to explain technical topics clearly to senior leaders and business partners
