POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Cardiovascular Services serves as the administrative co-leader of the Cardiac & Vascular Service Lines, partnering in a dyad leadership model with the Chief of Cardiovascular Services to provide integrated strategic, operational, financial, and clinical leadership across the cardiovascular continuum of care. Under the direction of the Vice President, Ambulatory Operations and in collaboration with Chief Nursing Officer, the Senior Director provides leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while achieving organizational goals related to quality, safety, financial performance, regulatory compliance, workforce engagement, and service line growth. Areas of responsibility include inpatient cardiology, outpatient cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac catheterization laboratories, electrophysiology services, heart failure programs, structural heart programs, cardiovascular diagnostic services, vascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular rehabilitation, and cardiovascular advanced practice provider services. The Senior Director executes strategic plans, leads performance improvement initiatives, ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and promotes operational excellence throughout the cardiovascular service line. The Senior Director serves as a strategic partner to organizational leadership and may act on behalf of executive leadership as delegated. The Senior Director consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Health and serves as a role model for physicians, leaders, and staff. These services further the mission of Enloe Health to improve the quality of life through patient-centered care.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum: Master’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field. Seven years of progressive leadership experience in cardiovascular services or a complex acute‑care or ambulatory healthcare environment.

Desired: Experience leading a cardiovascular service line within an integrated healthcare system. Experience supporting structural heart, advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, vascular surgery, and/or cardiothoracic surgery programs. Experience working within a dyad or triad leadership structure. Demonstrated success in service line development, program expansion, physician partnerships, and strategic growth initiatives.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum: Current CPR recognition.

Desired: Clinical licensure (RN, RT, PA, NP) or Clinical Experience in Cardiology Services.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and executive leadership skills. Demonstrated success in service line leadership, physician collaboration, and program development. Strong strategic planning, organizational development, and change management capabilities. Proven ability to lead effectively within a dyad leadership structure. Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting, capital planning, productivity management, and operational performance analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular clinical operations, quality standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory compliance. Ability to influence and lead across a complex, matrixed healthcare environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, cardiovascular service lines, and emerging technologies. Ability to establish effective working relationships with physicians, providers, leaders, staff, and community stakeholders. Demonstrates integrity, accountability, professionalism, and commitment to continuous improvement. Behavior must consistently reflect the core values of Enloe Health. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
