Position Description

Senior Business Applications Analyst (Yardi)

Position Overview:

Lockwood Companies is seeking a Senior Business Applications Analyst to serve as the primary owner of Yardi and other business applications. This role will play a key part in the Yardi implementation and provide ongoing leadership in system administration, reporting, automation, training, process improvement, and user support to help drive operational efficiency and business performance.

This position is based in Southfield, MI and offers a hybrid work arrangement, providing employees with the flexibility to work remote and from our office.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Applications Ownership

  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Yardi and other designated business applications.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Lockwood's operational, accounting, and business processes to ensure technology solutions support organizational objectives.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users, software vendors and implementation partners.
  • Establish best practices for application usage, security, and data integrity.
  • Evaluate and recommend new systems, modules, and technologies that improve business performance and scalability.
  • Participate in all phases of the Yardi implementation, including configuration, testing, data validation, user acceptance testing, training, go-live support, and stabilization.
  • Serve as the ongoing system owner following implementation.
  • Manage user security, permissions, workflows, configurations, and system settings.
  • Coordinate software updates, new releases, and enhancement projects.
  • Partner with Yardi support and consultants to resolve issues and optimize functionality

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement workflow improvements across departments.
  • Leverage system capabilities to reduce administrative burden and improve data accuracy.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain and update policies, procedures, and user manuals to reflect new program implementations, system enhancements, and changes to business processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline business processes through technology.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Design, develop, and maintain operational and financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Partner with leadership to identify reporting needs and actionable business insights.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and accessibility of data across systems.
  • Support data analysis and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Translate operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic planning and process improvement.

Training, Change Management & User Support

  • Develop training, reference materials, and standard operating procedures.
  • Deliver system training to new and existing employees.
  • Evaluate the design and demonstrate the ability to develop learning activities which may include classroom training, E-Learning modules, and other multimedia solutions to support corrpate and field learning. Promote user adoption and best practices.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for business applications.
  • Lead change management efforts related to system enhancements and new technology initiatives.

Integrations & Application Support

  • Manage and support integrations between Yardi and other business applications.
  • Assist with the administration, configuration, and optimization of other company systems, which may include document management, reporting, collaboration, procurement, workflow automation, CRM, and productivity platforms.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and support requests.
  • Monitor application performance and recommend improvements.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3-5+ years of experience implementing, administering, or optimizing ERP, property management, accounting, or other enterprise business systems.
  • Experience supporting organization-wide applications, developing reports and dashboards, and driving process automation and improvement.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, communication, and training skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across departments.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Yardi Voyager administration, implementation, or optimization.
  • Multifamily, senior living, real estate, or property management industry experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple business applications in a mid-sized organization.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Power Platform, or other business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of accounting, property management, and operational processes.
  • Experience leading software implementations, upgrades, or digital transformation initiatives.
