POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Manager, Business Planning, is responsible for developing B2B sales strategies for solar systems in the residential market and performing sales support. As a No.1 PV panel manufacturer in U.S. residential market, this job will be focusing on sales strategies for PV panel as well as MLPE (AC module) and ESS products, Qcells' latest focus, and this position will establish total solutions for residential customers in the long term while managing revenue and day-to-day operational data mining to accurately forecast P&L. Robust analytical ability and quick understanding of sales flow and structure in the customer journey is crucial to the role. This position will report to the Senior Manager, System Business Planning, or another member of senior leadership that the President of the Company may designate. This position is based out of our San Francisco office or Irvine office, with an in-office schedule set at the direct manager's discretion in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures. Remote options could be considered for exceptional cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Planning & Strategic Execution (AC Module & ESS)
  • Lead end-to-end sales planning for MLPE (AC Modules) and ESS across weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual horizons
  • Own and evolve executive-level sales dashboards, translating data into actionable regional and customer-specific strategies
  • Drive alignment of sales plans with corporate objectives through data-driven forecasting and performance tracking
  • Partner cross-functionally with SCM, Operations, and Corporate Planning to ensure forecast accuracy and execution against targets
  • Oversee inventory planning and logistics coordination to support revenue attainment and operational efficiency
  • Lead pricing strategy development through detailed cost, margin, and competitive market analysis
  • Provide senior leadership with insights and recommendations to support key business decisions

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment
  • Act as a central liaison across EnFin (Loan & TPO), Axia, B2B Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Operations teams to drive integrated ACM and ESS strategies
    Influence and guide cross-functional initiatives to optimize sales performance and customer outcomes
  • Establish and manage sales KPIs, ensuring accountability and alignment with broader business goals
  • Lead initiatives to improve processes, reporting, and operational scalability

P&L Ownership & Financial Strategy
  • Own P&L performance for MLPE and ESS product lines, including revenue, margin, and cost management
  • Lead profitability analysis and implement pricing and cost optimization strategies
    Identify and drive cost reduction opportunities across the value chain
  • Develop and support short-term and long-term business planning, including financial modeling and scenario analysis

Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
  • Lead market intelligence efforts across solar PV, inverter, and ESS segments to inform strategic direction
  • Analyze competitive landscape and define product differentiation strategies
    Identify emerging technologies, market trends, and growth opportunities to maintain competitive advantage
  • Translate market insights into actionable go-to-market strategies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in sales operations, sales planning, product strategy, business analytics, or related functions within energy, solar, or manufacturing industries
  • Demonstrated experience leading or owning sales planning, business strategy, and cross-functional initiatives at a regional or national level
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, ROI analysis, and business case development to support strategic decision-making
  • Strong experience in pricing strategy, forecasting, and performance management in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Experience developing and executing company-wide or business unit-level plans, including long-term strategic roadmaps
  • Ability to translate customer requirements (RFQ, RFI) into actionable strategies and commercial opportunities
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, solar PV, ESS, or adjacent technologies preferred
  • Experience collaborating with executive stakeholders and influencing decision-making across multiple functions
  • Bilingual English/Korean proficiency is a plus
