This individual will play a lead role in the design, development, implementation, and commissioning of automation and control systems across multiple process-driven industries.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in industrial controls, experience leading project execution, and the ability to mentor less experienced engineers while managing client-facing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for future project support.
• Design, configure, program, test, and support automation solutions for industrial and process manufacturing environments.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team members.
• Conduct engineering evaluations, system analyses, and technical studies while ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, project documentation, and cost estimates.
• Oversee project schedules, deliverables, and scope management while communicating changes and risks to stakeholders.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Direct the development of construction packages, control panel designs, and supporting documentation.
• Develop and modify PLC, HMI, SCADA, and distributed control system applications.
• Support installation activities, system commissioning, startup efforts, and operational handoff.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical and code-related issues.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience programming and integrating industrial automation systems.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and process control technologies.
• Experience developing and reviewing electrical and instrumentation design packages, including network architecture, panel layouts, instrumentation drawings, and motor control documentation.
• Ability to design, review, and approve industrial control panel and motor control center documentation.
• Advanced knowledge of modern industrial control platforms and human-machine interface technologies.
• Experience creating new automation applications and modifying existing production systems.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in a related engineering discipline with approximately 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Certified Automation Professional (CAP) certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Familiarity with industrial networking and communications protocols used in manufacturing and process environments.
Compensation & Benefits

• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
• Company-sponsored life and disability insurance.
• Retirement savings plan with employer contribution.
• Paid time off and company-recognized holidays.
Why Consider This Opportunity

• Join a collaborative engineering team with strong technical expertise.
• Flexible work arrangements that support work-life balance.
• Opportunities for professional growth, continuing education, and industry involvement.
• Exposure to a wide variety of industries and advanced manufacturing environments.
