Job description

Celonis is the global leader in Process Intelligence and the pioneer of Process Mining technology. As one of the world's fastest-growing enterprise SaaS companies, we are changemakers pushing the boundaries of what's possible. We invest heavily in advanced AI capabilities-specifically our Process Intelligence Graph-to turn data insights into immediate business action. We believe there is a massive opportunity to unlock global productivity and sustainability by placing intelligence at the core of every business process. Join our mission to make processes work for people, companies, and the planet.
As a Senior Value Engineer focusing on the Manufacturing sector, you serve as a trusted advisor and technical expert, leading data-driven business transformations for our enterprise customers. You will work in partnership with the Sales team, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end customer value journey-from technical pre-sales discovery (landing) through to rigorous post-sales implementation and project management (expanding, adopting, and renewing).
This role requires a unique hybrid skill set: you must be a highly technical solution engineer capable of building complex prototypes, while also being deeply comfortable owning the post-sale lifecycle to ensure adoption and value realization. Your main goal is to help clients leverage the Process Intelligence Platform to optimize manufacturing workflows, modernize systems, and achieve measurable ROI.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Solutioning & Value Framing (Pre-Sales): Discover and translate the strategic priorities of manufacturing customers into high-impact use cases. Build highly technical demos, prototypes, and business cases targeted at solving business-critical challenges across:
    • Idea to Offer: Accelerating time to market, reducing material costs, and increasing engineering productivity.
    • Supply Chain & Production: Increasing shopfloor and inventory efficiency, rapidly reacting to short-term supply chain disruptions, and accelerating production ramp-up.
    • Quality & Warranty: Identifying quality problems before they multiply, freeing up warranty reserves, and accelerating error correction processes.
  • Proof-of-Value (POV) Execution: Lead end-to-end POVs, technical discovery, and value workshops in partnership with internal Applied VE teams; communicate technical architecture, value opportunities, and strategic roadmaps to C-suite and operational leaders.
  • Post-Sales Technical Guidance & Account Management: Seamlessly transition from pre-sales to post-sales. Partner closely with internal Services and external Partner teams to drive implementations, providing the critical AI, solution, and technical guidance needed to build high-value architectures that strictly meet adoption and ROI thresholds.
  • Scale Value & Drive Expansion: Define and share best practices for client operating models and governance, driving enterprise-wide adoption and value realization; lead QBRs and design strategic expansion roadmaps aligned with the client's operational realities.
  • Process Transformation & AI Enablement: Use process intelligence to feed operational context to AI and LLM tools, helping clients move from simple rule-based automation to intelligent, agentic systems within their production and supply chain environments.
  • Domain Leadership: Serve as the internal and external technical subject matter expert for the Manufacturing vertical. Continuously bridge the gap between IT and OT systems, and provide product feedback to the development teams based on emerging industry use cases.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or highly technical customer success roles. Crucially, you must have a proven track record of staying deeply involved post-sale to drive project implementations and manage enterprise accounts.
  • Deep Business Process Knowledge: Native understanding of manufacturing business processes. You must possess in-depth experience in domains such as Supply Chain Operations, Production/Shopfloor Management, Quality Assurance, or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), with the ability to map complex operational bottlenecks to technical solutions.
  • Technical Skills: * Solid knowledge of Python and/or SQL.
    • Strong familiarity with major Business Software/ERP applications prevalent in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Experience with BI tools, RPA, and building data-driven dashboards and automations.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional capability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously across aligned accounts at various stages of the value journey. Proven ability to present and communicate effectively to VP+ and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; a focus in computer science, engineering, mathematics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have (but not required):
  • Hands-on experience building agentic systems using LLM orchestration, RAG, function calling, prompt engineering, and common ML libraries (LangChain, pandas, PyTorch).
  • Familiarity with IT/OT convergence and industrial IoT data structures.

Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role.
What Celonis can offer you:
  • Pioneer Innovation: Work with the global leader in Process Mining and the Process Intelligence Graph to shape the future of AI-driven business operations.
  • Ownership from Day 1: Every full-time "Celonaut" is an owner, receiving Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and merit-based refresh grants.
  • Unrivaled Family Support: Benefit from our inclusive parental leave policy-24 weeks of fully paid leave for primary carers and 12 weeks for supporting carers, available from your first day of employment.
  • Work-Life Integration: Enjoy Unlimited PTO (in applicable regions) and generous PTO globally, as well as a flexible hybrid work model that balances remote focus with vibrant office collaboration.
  • Continuous Growth: Elevate your skills through our 70-20-10 learning framework, mentorship programs, and access to a dedicated learning platform.
  • Holistic Well-being: Prioritize your health with subsidized Wellhub memberships, mental health counseling, and dedicated "Wellness Weeks" that prioritize work/life balance.
  • Drive Sustainability: Participate in annual Impact Days, where you receive paid time off to volunteer for community and environmental causes with your local office, or virtually.
  • Global Inclusion & Belonging: Find community through our Inclusion Think Tank and participate in our annual Inclusion Days, ensuring every voice is heard and valued.
  • Value-Driven Impact: Join a mission-led organization where our core values-Live for Customer Value, The Best Team Wins, We Own It, and Earth Is Our Future-drive every decision.
