*We are not considering Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements for this position

Description:

  • The Power BI Developer will support the ongoing business intelligence, data visualization, and reporting needs of NCDOT and NCDMV customers.
  • This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and enterprise reporting solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • The position will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable reporting solutions, data models, and visualizations while ensuring adherence to reporting standards, governance practices, accessibility requirements, and enterprise data integration strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and support Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and visualization solutions.
  • Create enterprise-ready data models, DAX calculations, and reporting solutions that support business operations and decision-making.
  • Develop accessible and user-friendly dashboards that align with organizational reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish reporting consistency, governance standards, and visualization best practices.
  • Integrate Power BI solutions with enterprise data sources, including Databricks and other data platforms.
  • Optimize dashboard and report performance to improve scalability and user experience.
  • Support workspace administration, user access management, and data connection requests.
  • Conduct training sessions, demonstrations, and webinars for business users on Power BI tools and reporting solutions.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide ongoing customer support.
  • Manage and resolve support requests through established ticketing processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to business intelligence and reporting capabilities.

  • Strong expertise in Power BI development and dashboard design.

  • Additional certifications related to data analytics, business intelligence, cloud technologies, or data engineering are a plus.
