Controller

High-Impact Leadership Role

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Compensation: 120,000-170,000

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance for a national portfolio of senior living and real estate assets. This role is highly visible and serves as a key financial partner to executive leadership, with direct impact on operational performance, system modernization, and enterprise growth.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting functions including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and property-level accounting

  • Prepare and review consolidated GAAP financial statements; manage month-end and year-end close

  • Maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and audit readiness

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

  • Oversee cash management, bank reconciliations, and capital expenditures

  • Lead finance systems strategy, implementations, and process improvements


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 7+ years of accounting experience; 3+ years in a Controller or senior leadership role

  • Property-level accounting experience required

  • Experience in senior living, assisted living, healthcare, multifamily, or multi-site operations preferred

  • Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls expertise

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with modern accounting systems (NetSuite, Ramp, Yardi, Sage Intacct)

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
