Location: Raleigh, NC-27607 – Hybrid

Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior AWS Developer with 10–15 years of software development experience to support data modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level AWS solutions, with a particular focus on AWS Data Lakes, data engineering, cloud modernization, Python development, security, and DevOps/DevSecOps.
The candidate will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to modernize legacy applications, develop scalable cloud solutions, and support data ingestion, processing, transformation, governance, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend effective cloud modernization strategies.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and deliver scalable AWS solutions within project timelines.
  • Develop and implement enterprise-level AWS Data Lake solutions.
  • Build data ingestion, storage, processing, and transformation pipelines using appropriate AWS services.
  • Customize AWS ETL processes and business logic using Python.
  • Modernize legacy applications through cloud migration, refactoring, and re-platforming.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify architectural risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Design secure, scalable, and highly available AWS architectures.
  • Implement security and data governance controls, including fine-grained permissions, encryption, auditing, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, monitoring, and logging solutions.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues and challenges.
  • Advise technical teams on industry trends, emerging technologies, and AWS best practices.
  • Ensure solutions follow enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and development best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with technical teams, senior IT leadership, business stakeholders, and other non-technical audiences.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum development environments.
Required Skills
  • 10–15 years of software development experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience designing and developing AWS Data Lake solutions.
  • Strong experience with AWS services used for enterprise-level data lakes and data engineering.
  • Experience with data ingestion, data storage, data processing, and data transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS machine learning-related services and solutions.
  • Strong Python development and scripting experience.
