What is a senior aviation program manager?

A Senior Aviation Program Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and coordinating large-scale aviation projects or programs, such as airport development, airline operations, or aviation safety initiatives. They manage project timelines, budgets, teams, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful project delivery in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role typically requires significant experience in aviation management, strong leadership skills, and knowledge of industry standards. Senior Aviation Program Managers often work for airports, airlines, government agencies, or consulting firms specializing in aviation. WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Fluidra, a global leader in the pool and wellness industry, is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join its Global Transformation function within the Enterprise PMO, driving critical, cross‑functional initiatives. This role operates at the center of Fluidra’s enterprise transformation agenda, leading programs that are transforming Operations and redefining the global manufacturing and logistics footprint. The position plays a pivotal role in ensuring alignment, execution excellence, and value realization across complex initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and global competitiveness. • Drive plant consolidation, expansion, or relocation initiatives
    • Deploy and mature the Fluidra Operating System (FOS), driving standardization and continuous improvement across global programs
    • Partner with finance and operations to evaluate cost, service, and risk trade-offs
    • Use operational and financial analytics, including scenario modeling, to prioritize manufacturing, logistics, and inventory decisions
    • Optimize transportation strategies, including mode selection, routing, and carrier management
    • Implement solutions to improve service levels while reducing logistics costs
    • Partner with stakeholders across operations, supply chain, finance, IT & digital, engineering, and commercial teams to drive data driven operational capabilities
    • Lead organizational change management and ensure adoption of new processes and systems across impacted functions
    • Identify risks, elevate team conflicts, constraints, or other roadblocks to leadership in a timely manner to minimize schedule impact and keep teams moving forward
    • Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, shaping decision-making at the executive and plant leadership levels (COO, VP Supply Chain, VP Manufacturing, VP Operational Excellence, Plant Managers)

    WHAT WE SEEK

    • 8+ years of experience in program management, supply chain strategy, or operations transformation

    • Working knowledge of program management philosophies and processes, and experience implementing changes/improvements within an organization.
    • The successful candidate must be energetic and flexible with excellent planning and organizing ability, a proven leader who displays sound judgment and the ability to make key decisions, while bringing excitement and motivation to the team.
    • Must be a demonstrated problem solver with the ability to manage information, to systematically analyze that information and willingness to delegate tasks and responsibilities.
    • Ability to act as an independent intermediary between engineering, supply chain, operations, IT and commercial teams
    • Excellent organizational, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal team skills.
    • Strong track record of accomplished projects with increasing responsibilities.

    • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes
    • Expectation to deliver on all commitments.
    • Ability to lead in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
    • Strong financial acumen and business case development and knowledge of financial reports
