About the Opportunity

Join Vitrek as a Senior Electrical Engineer and play a key role in shaping the next generation of precision instrumentation. Based in our Albany, NY engineering center of excellence, youโ€™ll lead system-level design initiatives while collaborating with a high-performing team of electrical and software engineers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives in a handsโ€‘on environment and is passionate about delivering high-performance, low-noise analog solutions.

Youโ€™ll report directly to the Vice President of Engineering and have the opportunity to influence both new product development and the evolution of our existing product portfolio.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Lead digital, analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including:
    • Component selection
    • SPICE simulation
    • Schematic capture, PCB layout, and BOM development
    • Debugging and validation
  • Design and optimize circuits with a focus on low-noise performance and stability
  • Conduct circuit performance testing and analysis
  • Support legacy products and ongoing production efforts
  • Provide application and technical support as needed
  • Contribute to project leadership and mentor junior engineers (as applicable)

What You Bring

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 5+ years of post degree work experience.
  • Strong experience with mixed-signal systems and debugging
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 10%, domestic/international)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with low power switching inverters (<50W)
  • Design of low and ultra-low noise amplifiers (op-amps and discrete)
  • Audio amplifier design experience
  • Active analog filter design
  • Exposure to RF circuit design and testing
