As a member of our Investor Relations and Business Development team, you will be responsible for helping to maintain and grow Voleon's institutional investor relationships. You will work closely with our seasoned sales and relationship management team to strengthen our partnerships with some of the world's leading institutional investors. You will also support our senior sales professionals' work to identify and pursue new business development opportunities. This role is a means to make a difference: you will help us better serve our existing partners and connect potential future investors to one of the world's leading quantitative investment firms.
This position must be based on the West Coast, Berkeley strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with our senior sales/relationship managers to build and strengthen existing Voleon investor relationships by providing outstanding client service
  • Partner with our senior sales/relationship managers in their work across the sales cycle from sourcing new opportunities to closing investments with both existing and prospective investors
  • Independently manage select existing investor relationships with oversight from our senior team
  • Maintain a robust relationship management ecosystem - including but not limited to relationship coverage plans, sales pipelines, and strict CRM tracking processes
  • Collaborate with colleagues across functions including Research and Investor Operations to enhance Voleon's investor reporting and research content

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in an institutional sales or relationship management role (or a sales-focused operations role) at an institutional asset management firm
  • Track record of supporting senior colleagues in growing existing relationships and closing new business
  • Eagerness to work in diverse teams
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems
  • Must be able to travel at least 10-15% of the time
  • Series 3 license or willingness to pursue within the first three months of employment
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Preferred Qualifications: CFA or CAIA
