Job description

A Brief Overview

The Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer will facilitate the design and development of innovative artificial intelligence solutions, leveraging their experience in software engineering, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, they will actively contribute to the development, testing, and training of AI and advanced analytics models. They will be responsible for hands-on coding and machine learning algorithm development to predict patient outcomes, optimize treatment plans, and improve overall healthcare delivery. They will play a key role in mentoring junior team members, staying abreast of industry trends, and continuously enhancing our AI and predictive capabilities.

What You Will Do
  • Leverage Microsoft Technologies (Azure and Foundry) to build state of the art software solutions.
  • Design, develop and implement advanced analytics and AI solutions that align with our overall business objectives and requirements.
  • Utilize programming languages (such as Python, R, Pyspark and SQL) and analytics frameworks to create efficient and scalable code.
  • Work closely with operational and business owners in applying advanced analytics to clinical data for outcomes analysis, patient risk stratification, and predictive modeling in our healthcare setting. Implement and optimize machine learning algorithms, statistical models, and other advanced analytics techniques.
  • Create and maintain data models that facilitate efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Ensure that the data models support the integration of diverse data sources.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, data scientists, IT teams, and other stakeholders to integrate analytics into healthcare processes and decision-making. Communicate effectively to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
  • Maintain continuing education on the latest advancements in analytics, machine learning, and related technologies. Demonstrate a willingness to explore and adopt new tools and methodologies to continuously enhance the analytics architecture across the system.
  • Thoroughly test, refine, and optimize analytics solutions to generate accurate, reliable, and robust learning models. Implement testing frameworks and methodologies to support the development lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain documentation for developed analytics solutions, including code documentation, data flows, models, and algorithms. Provide knowledge transfer and training to other team members and end-users as needed.
  • Incorporate security measures to protect sensitive data within analytics solutions and ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Train staff in advanced analytics, machine learning methods, and computer languages to enhance IT analytics capabilities, Utilizes and maintains appropriate change control procedures and standards and performs call rotation duties as required.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Management, Mathematics or related field. (Required) and
  • Master's Degree in Data Science or Data Analytics related concentration. (Preferred)
Work Experience
  • 5 years Experience in software development / engineering using current Microsoft technologies including web application development and/or data science and advanced analytics solutions. (Required) and
  • 3 years Knowledge in AI technologies and tools, encompassing Microsoft/ Azure Foundry, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and the application of AI technologies to create practical and comprehensive technological solutions. (Required) and
  • 1 years Experience with healthcare data structures, regulatory considerations, and electronic health records (EHR) systems, along with a background in developing and implementing advanced analytics solutions in the healthcare domain. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Experience with the following web authoring languages, database technologies, methodologies, tools and technologies: C#/ .NET , SQL, JavaScript / JQuery, Web APIs, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, IIS, Agile and SCRUM software development methodologies (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge and experience with advanced analytics, statistics, AI, Machine Learning, development and implementation of predictive analytics in clinical or operational settings. (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of best programming practices to address security vulnerabilities. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems related to the implementation and processing of software. (Required proficiency)
  • Exhibits a proven track record of leveraging Machine Learning to extract valuable insights and predictions from diverse datasets in a business or healthcare setting. (Required proficiency)
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages commonly used in data analytics such as Python, Pyspark, R, Scala or similar, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets. Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis libraries. (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrates a strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for leveraging analytics to solve business challenges, improve processes, and drive overall business success. (Preferred proficiency)
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. (Required proficiency)
