  • Independently diagnose and resolve complex, cross-domain enterprise application incidents and problems without escalation to government personnel for subject-matter knowledge
  • Lead complex application engineering tasks, including platform upgrades, configuration changes, and performance optimization activities
  • Serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point within the applications and integration team for complex application incidents and engineering challenges
  • Monitor enterprise application performance, availability, and health, taking proactive engineering action to address issues and prevent recurrence
  • Serve as a qualified backup to the Applications & Integration Lead during leave, training, or other absences to ensure 100% coverage continuity

Integration Platform Engineering:

  • Provide expert-level engineering and operations support for CLIENT's enterprise integration and middleware platforms, ensuring reliable and well-performing data flows and system integrations
  • Lead engineering of complex integrations, interface enhancements, and middleware configurations across CLIENT's enterprise application portfolio
  • Diagnose and resolve complex integration failures, data pipeline issues, and middleware incidents independently
  • Design and implement integration monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery workflows
  • Evaluate integration platform performance and recommend engineering improvements that enhance reliability and reduce operational risk
  • Maintain accurate and current integration engineering documentation, including interface designs, data flow diagrams, and configuration records

SaaS Platform Engineering & Administration:

  • Provide senior-level engineering and administration support for CLIENT's SaaS platform portfolio
  • Lead complex SaaS platform configuration tasks, including security configuration, integration setup, and advanced user administration
  • Engineer SaaS platform monitoring and alerting configurations to ensure proactive detection of performance and availability issues
  • Support SaaS platform onboarding and offboarding activities, including technical due diligence, configuration, and decommissioning
  • Coordinate with SaaS vendors on complex technical issues, platform updates, and security requirements
  • Maintain accurate SaaS platform engineering documentation and configuration records

Release & Environment Management Engineering:

  • Provide senior technical engineering support for release and environment management activities across CLIENT's enterprise application portfolio
  • Lead engineering of deployment automation workflows, CI/CD pipeline components, and environment provisioning processes
  • Support design and implementation of non-production environment management frameworks, including environment refresh, data masking, and configuration alignment
  • Conduct technical reviews of release packages and deployment plans, identifying and mitigating risk before production deployment
  • Coordinate release execution activities with application teams, infrastructure teams, and the Service Management Lead
  • Maintain accurate release engineering documentation, deployment runbooks, and environment configuration records

Application Security Engineering:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex API connectivity, performance, and security issues independently
  • Maintain accurate API and integration engineering documentation, including API inventories, endpoint configurations, and security policies
  • Evaluate API platform performance and recommend engineering improvements that enhance reliability and security
  • Support development and maintenance of API governance standards and integration design patterns

Performance Engineering & Monitoring:

  • Lead application performance engineering activities, including performance analysis, tuning, and optimization across CLIENT's enterprise application portfolio
  • Design and implement application performance monitoring configurations and alerting thresholds in coordination with the NOC and Infrastructure teams
  • Conduct application performance assessments and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Develop and maintain application performance baselines, SLA metrics, and capacity planning data
  • Support site reliability engineering (SRE) practices, including availability monitoring, error budgets, and reliability improvement initiatives
