Long Description As a lead Business Development and Capture Lead on the team, this individual will assist in the identification, shaping, and capture of future opportunities in the Space RF Sensing mission area. The candidate will lead a highly integrated team of technical professionals covering cross-functional disciplines in support of achieving mission area contract wins. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing campaigns to shape successful pursuits.

Engagement with key internal customers and ability to build stakeholder relationships are key to success in this role.The candidate may function as a Customer Engagement Lead, Business Development Lead, Proposal Manager, and Capture Manager for pursuits including shaping new and follow-on opportunities. A successful candidate will have a background and understanding of the Capture Process. Candidate will be responsible for driving the new business capture process including developing strategy, competitive intelligence analysis, leading Gold Teams, Black Hats, Executive Decision Gates, and will develop, plan, and schedule proposal activities

The candidate will request and manage Marketing Assist (MA), Bid and Proposal and Independent Research and Development budgets to ensure investments remain aligned to strategic growth. Additional responsibilities may include attending industry events, identifying and establishing key industry partnerships to maximize new business growth, and collaborating with Program Leadership to support strategic growth. The position will also support the overall strategy development within the National Security Space LOB with the goal of sustained LRP growth.

In this role you will: Lead business development and capture teams to secure new business. Develop and execute an overall customer focused strategic plan addressing both short and long-term growth. Shape and win new business through a balanced focus on the customer's mission, best value, and the competitive environment.

Collaborate with mission architects to develop system architecture concepts to meet customer requirements Identify and establish key industry partnerships to maximize new business growth. Actively participate in capture teams on key business opportunities as both the Business Development lead and Capture manager. Collaborate with engineering leadership to create technology roadmaps and related Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and Customer Research and Development (CRAD) projects to create discriminators necessary to develop and win new business.

Support and oversee internal business operations requirements to include but not limited to developing long-range financial sales/growth forecasts, developing long-term portfolio growth strategies, and preparing and maintaining annual portfolio allowable and unallowable business expenditures Standard Job Description Basic Qualifications 10+ years experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), DoD, or National Security Space, OR equivalent experience with national security space opportunity management and capture US Citizen with Top Secret with TS/SCI eligibility Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline such as engineering or business, or equivalent Advanced degree in business or engineering or related discipline Desired Skills Minimum of 5 years of business development, program/project management, or technical leadership experience Strong communication skills, including experience delivering executive-level communications Experience working collaboratively across diverse functional organizations Experience developing complex proposal materials #SpaceSBD Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
