The Senior Application Architect designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Senior Application Architect work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and performs work without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • 7 or more experience as a senior developer in large IT projects
  • Prior project architect and/or team lead experience
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • At least 3years project experience working with AI, cloud platforms and HR platform SaaS applications.
  • Strong knowledge of application architecture principles, design patterns, integration patterns, and software engineering practices.
  • Experience designing enterprise applications using modern technologies such as APIs, microservices, containers, cloud platforms, event-driven architectures, and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with security-by-design principles, identity and access management, data protection, and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to create architecture artifacts, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, decision records, and roadmaps.

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
