Senior MH-139 Utility Helicopter Program Manager

The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Vertical Lift Division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, MH-139 Utility Helicopter Program Manager position located in Ridley Park, PA! This role will be accountable for the execution and growth of the MH-139 Utility Helicopter program by developing organization and plans that meet the BDS Strategy by modeling Boeing values and behaviors.

The BDS Vertical Lift Division portfolio is critical to defense around the world and is responsible for manufacturing the most advanced military rotorcraft in the world and is renowned for leading-edge solutions that deliver proven capabilities. With 60 years of expertise and a global fleet over 2,500 strong - comprising the AH-6 Little Bird, AH-64 Apache, V-22 Osprey and H-47 Chinook aircraft and in-development entrants, including the MH-139A Grey Wolf - Boeing advances missions ranging from precision attack and reconnaissance to medium and heavy lift operations.

This is a rewarding and challenging leadership role that reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Vertical Lift and as the Program Manager, will be responsible for securing resources and strategies to meet the commitments of the MH-139 program, as well as capturing opportunities for growth and fostering relationships and partnerships to expand the portfolio. The individual should have an innovative and strategic mindset, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance program performance and growth potential. Expect frequent engagement with executive leadership, senior officials, partners and customers.

Successful candidate will lead the MH-139 Program to deliver critical Vertical Lift capabilities to the United States Air Force as part of the UH-1N Replacement Program and has established itself as an affordable and capable Utility Helicopter Commercial Derivative platform for Domestic and International Customers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and develops the leadership team of the MH-139 Program and supports organization by fostering a culture that models Boeing values and behaviors.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, develops business strategies to meet all program financial objectives and priorities aligned with BDS strategy.
  • Establish and further develop relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensures accountability and help needed is addressed to meet program commitments.
  • Leads major negotiations with Customer and Partners to ensure strategic alignment and resolution of critical program issues.
  • Supports business capture opportunities and identifies program growth potential.
  • Supports Business Unit and Division level operating rhythm and communication by ensuring appropriate leadership engagement.

Basic Qualification for Manager, M Level (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on programs or projects
  • 10+years of experience leading complex integrated business operations including engineering, production, services, supply chain, and quality.
  • 10+ years of experience with developing and managing strong relationships with internal & external partners, government customers and representatives
  • Demonstrated strong Program Management leadership skills driving successful execution
  • Demonstrated strong experience using Program Management Best Practices
  • 5+ years of Senior Leader or Senior Manager experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills/Experience):

  • Strong communication skills& ability to interface with senior level executives
  • Experience managing DOD programs, DOD acquisition cycle, business capture, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
