As a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile-First Frontend), you will lead the development and delivery of intuitive, customer-facing mobile and web experiences that support key business objectives. You will design, build, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance frontend applications using modern technologies and responsive design principles. Working closely with product, design, platform, and engineering teams, you will translate complex requirements into seamless user experiences. You will drive frontend best practices, perform code reviews, optimize application performance, and contribute to CI/CD and DevOps processes. Your focus on quality, usability, innovation, and continuous improvement will help deliver secure, reliable, and impactful digital solutions.
About the team:
The Philanthropy Engineering team drives Walmart’s commitment to responsible business by developing cloud-native backend services with open-source technologies. Collaborating with engineers, UX designers, and product managers, the team delivers scalable, maintainable solutions supporting corporate social responsibility initiatives such as disaster relief and community programs. Emphasizing technical expertise and innovation, members apply agile methodologies and leverage skills in Spring Boot, APIs, Java, and cloud databases to build reliable, efficient software. The team fosters a collaborative environment focused on impactful technology that aligns with business goals and enhances community engagement.
What you'll do:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance mobile applications using React Native and React, delivering seamless user experiences across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Own the end-to-end application lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, store publishing, compliance, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver impactful features. Integrate APIs, third-party services, and native modules while optimizing application performance and reliability.
  • Implement analytics, monitoring, and automation testing solutions. Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices. Create technical documentation and stay current with emerging mobile technologies and industry best practices.

You bring strong expertise in React Native, ReactJS, State Management, and GraphQL, with a proven ability to build scalable, high-performance mobile experiences across iOS and Android platforms. You have hands-on experience managing the complete application lifecycle, including development, testing, CI/CD, and App Store/Play Store releases. Your background includes integrating APIs, native modules, analytics, and monitoring tools while ensuring application reliability and performance. You excel at automation testing, code quality, and technical documentation.
