Job description

Title: Senior Analyst

Location: Alexandria, VA

Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Must complete federal personnel vetting/Tier 2 background investigation.

Job Description:

The Senior Analyst serves as the operational lead responsible for coordinating technical assistance activities, performance management support, project planning, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with the Project Director, the Senior Analyst manages day-to-day implementation activities while providing strategic analysis that informs technical assistance delivery and continuous program improvement.

The Senior Analyst leads coordination of training activities, analyzes grantee performance, develops technical assistance plans, and ensures successful implementation of performance management initiatives of the Strengthening Community Colleges (SCC) Training Grants program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day execution of project activities.
  • Lead development of annual and quarterly technical assistance (TA) plans.
  • Analyze quarterly grantee performance reports and identify emerging TA needs.
  • Coordinate webinars, virtual learning events, peer learning sessions, and technical assistance activities.
  • Develop performance management tools, dashboards, reports, and data analyses.
  • Coordinate Workforce Integrated Performance System (WIPS) support activities and assist with reporting system improvements.
  • Prepare quarterly performance analysis reports and recommendations.
  • Develop technical assistance materials, guidance documents, resource briefs, and training products.
  • Coordinate SME engagement and monitor technical assistance delivery.
  • Support communication between DOL National Office, Regional Offices, FPOs, and grantees.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Provide quality review of deliverables prior to submission.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant workforce development, grant management, technical assistance, or performance management experience.
  • Experience coordinating technical assistance events and workforce development initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with data management and performance reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical, writing, presentation, facilitation, and project coordination skills.
  • Working knowledge of performance management information systems (preferred).

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
