Job description

Amazon Global Air (AIR) is looking for a leader who is innovative, passionate, and results driven to lead oversight of a growing network of airport facilities.

The airport ecosystem is extremely complex and a successful candidate will have solid program management and communications skills, and a strong working knowledge of the unique airport development and regulatory environment.
As the Principal, Airport Facility Technical Advisor, you'll be responsible for coordinating multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups focused on designing, developing, and executing: 1) the maintaining of Amazon airport infrastructure, 2) the development of facility maintenance and site master plans, 3) Amazon tenant oversight, and 4) supporting Amazon on-airport property development. You will be Amazon Air's voice and a subject matter expert resource for a wide range of teams at Amazon, including Design & Construction, Global Engineering Services, Asset Management, Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME), Real Estate, and Airport Affairs.

This role will be instrumental in solving some of Air's biggest challenges in a space that's fast, diverse, and unpredictable. Are you up for it?
Key job responsibilities
- Develop deep working partnerships with execution teams in North America (NA) Design & Construction, Global Engineering Services, Asset Management, Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME), Airport Affairs, and ground operations leadership
- Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance for internal teams on regulatory and technical matters related to on-airfield project management, design, and construction
- In partnership with execution teams and senior AIR leadership, lead efforts to develop long-range site master plans for all AIR NA Hub and Regional Air Hub sites
- Create and implement standard procedures for facility management in Amazon controlled, 3P operated airport facilities
- Engage with airports, landlords, and subtenants on construction and facility matters as needed
- Facilitate transitions during cargo facility operator changes, onboarding, and offboarding of assets
- Facilitate preparation and presentation of airport construction and facility modification project updates to senior AIR leadership including cost, entitlements, permitting, approvals, and overall project health
- Travel 25% of the time
