Job Description

Trusted Space is seeking a Senior AerospaceEngineer todesign,implement, andvalidateorbit-based algorithmsin support of a larger autonomousproduct.Thisengineer will work across message buses, interfaces, and mission workflows as part of across‑functionalAgile team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine aerospace mission-dynamics and space-domain simulation models to support development of a Trusted Space autonomy product and software integration.
  • Collaborate with autonomy and software engineers tovalidateinterfaces, workflows, and mission behaviors using representative dynamics.
  • Generate representative test data, simulation datasets, and scenario configurations forcomponent‑levelandsystem‑leveltesting.
  • Contribute aerospace-focused artifacts to documentation, training materials, and technical presentations.

Qualifications

  • An active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in modeling & simulation, mission dynamics, or test engineering.
  • Experience developing and validating aerospace or space-domain models (orbital, attitude, sensor geometry, mission constraints).
  • Hands‑on experience with simulation environments (e.g., Basilisk,Orekit,GMAT, etc.), test data generation, or demo-support workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate with autonomy and software engineering teams in integrated Agile workflows.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Ability to understand, enhance, develop, and test codebases in C++/Rust.
  • Experience with python for basic scriptingand development.
  • Comfortable with git version control and agiledevopstools (Azure, Gitlab, Jira).
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $145,000 - $200,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, LLC considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
