Menifee Senior Living is looking for an Activities Assistant to join our team!

Come help the Activities Director meet the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs of our residents both inside and outside the community.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the mission, vision, and culture of the organization.
  • Perform activities on schedule while maintaining regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Promote resident’s attendance at events and activities
  • Assist with planning and implementing events and activities.
  • Assist with group activities, sing-a-longs, and exercise classes
  • Conduct activity programs as assigned.
  • Assist residents with gardening projects.
  • Assist with decorations for holidays and special occasions.
  • Starting part-time with potential to be full-time

Skills

  • Experience in activities with seniors who have dementia or in a senior retirement community
  • Must be flexible and willing to work holidays, weekends, and occasional nights as part of this position aside of regular schedule.
  • Great organization, planning, and engaging/re-directing seniors
  • Great energy and kindness
  • Operate a VCR, DVD, and stereo system.
  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Must possess valid First Aid Certification
  • Memory Care experience preferred, but not required.
  • Must be flexible, as schedules are subject to change.
  • Willingness to be cross-trained for Front Desk responsibilities.

Work schedule:

  • 9:00am to 4:00pm
