Senior Accounting Consultant


Are you a Senior Accounting Consultant who enjoys digging into complex reconciliations and solving accounting discrepancies? Our client, located in the Vancouver area, is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant for a long-term temporary project. This Senior Accounting Consultant will take ownership of a significant reconciliation initiative while supporting an established finance team through a period of transition and an upcoming system conversion.


As the Senior Accounting Consultant, you would be responsible for:

  • Performing complex balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Researching discrepancies and recommending appropriate adjustments
  • Analyzing financial reports and supporting documentation
  • Using Excel extensively to organize and evaluate financial data
  • Documenting reconciliation findings, corrections, and processes
  • Assisting with accounting projects related to an upcoming system conversion


This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a highly visible project and work directly with collaborative finance leadership. The assignment is expected to begin quickly and offers the opportunity to contribute to several key accounting initiatives.


To be considered for this position, you would need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience within property management, affordable housing, governmental, nonprofit, or another similarly regulated accounting environment preferred
  • Ability to work independently, investigate discrepancies, and manage a complex reconciliation project


Yardi experience or prior involvement in an accounting system conversion is highly preferred.
