Job description

We are looking to fill a Senior Accountant position in Fort Worth with a consumer services company that offers a great work environment and exciting culture. This position will report to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for general accounting duties such as preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and reviewing financial statements while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers according to GAAP.
This position offers a hybrid work set up and pays 100K-105K+Bonus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review general ledger and financial statements for accuracy
  • Participate in monthly close process, including preparing reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, overhead allocations, etc.
  • Consolidate subsidiaries and make elimination entries, as well as inter-company billing and allocations.
  • Prepare audit schedules as needed for external audit, including financial statement and tax audits.
  • Assist with other assignments and ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries to accurately record accounting transactions which include payroll, prepaid amortization, other expense accruals, corporate allocations, reclassifications.
  • Perform bank account reconciliations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA is a plus
  • 5+ years' experience of full cycle accounting
  • Experience with system implementation / conversion a plus
  • Ability to identify issues and take initiative for process improvement and problem resolution
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization
