Are you a CPA who enjoys building relationships, identifying business opportunities, and helping organizations improve their financial and operational processes through technology? Clark Nuber is seeking an Accounting Software Customer Development Senior to help grow our Software Solutions practice. This role is ideal for a CPA who enjoys networking, business development, consultative sales, and serving as a trusted advisor to executives evaluating ERP and accounting software solutions such as Sage Intacct. Unlike a traditional implementation or technical support position, the Accounting Software Customer Development Senior's primary focus will be developing relationships, generating opportunities, conducting discovery conversations, and helping organizations select the right technology solutions. This role is an opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial practice within a well-established, values-driven firm, where you'll work alongside experienced mentors, build meaningful client relationships, and directly influence the growth of an exciting service line.

If you're energized by connecting with people, learning new technologies, and making a tangible impact, we'd love to meet you.

Essential functions of job include but are not limited to:
  • Build relationships, referral channels, strategic partnerships, and professional networks to generate qualified leads, increase market awareness, and support practice development initiatives.
  • Develop and contribute to thought leadership content, including speeches, newsletters, blogs, webinars, articles, website content, presentations, and event speaking engagements.
  • Gather market intelligence and assist with annual sales, marketing, production, development, and DEI planning to support the Software Solutions practice.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with clients and prospects, providing strategic guidance and connecting them with appropriate internal and external resources.
  • Support the use of Dynamics 365 and CRM processes to manage pipelines, reporting, client communications, opportunities, and partner relationships.
  • Manage and coordinate the Software Solutions sales pipeline, including lead generation, qualification, discovery, solution development, demonstrations, proposals, contract execution, renewals, and Digital Room creation.
  • Conduct advanced discovery sessions, functional needs assessments, and gap analyses to translate business requirements into software and solution recommendations.
  • Prepare RFIs/RFPs, Statements of Work, and pre-sales deliverables while ensuring solutions align with client goals, technical requirements, risk management standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, third-party vendors, referral partners, and software providers to develop, integrate, and present enterprise software solutions.
  • Partner with implementation teams to ensure successful project handoffs, software implementations, customer onboarding, configuration, data migration, integrations, reporting, automation, and ongoing advisory services.
  • Drive customer success by monitoring engagement, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering optimization, training, and additional service offerings.
  • Develop, schedule, and deliver training programs and educational resources for software clients and internal team members, including mentoring opportunities.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, marketing, business administration, MIS or related field or a combination of education and directly related work experience.

Experience: 3+ years of experience accounting, ERP software sales, support implementations or consulting (Sage Intacct certification preferred). Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. You must pass a background check, including a credit check, at any time to remain eligible for this position.

Salary Range: $98,000 minimum to $130,710 maximum salary range USD

Benefits:
  • Comprehensive Insurance Coverage: We offer fully paid medical, dental, vision, life, short-term and long-term disability, and AD&D insurance for employees. Dependent coverage is subsidized, with all benefits starting on your first day.
  • Time Off & Flexibility: Enjoy 10 paid holidays, up to 5 weeks of flexible time off annually, and a sabbatical program for tenured employees—because we value work-life integration. We provide paid parental leave to support you and your family during important life moments.
  • Professional Growth: We’re committed to your development. We cover licensing, certifications, tuition, and association fees to help you grow your career.
