Valeo Resources has partnered with a substance abuse and mental health organization. We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time RN/LPN to join the team in Delray Beach, FL! In this role, you will be working with adults suffering from SUD/mental health disorders.

Location: Delray Beach, FL
Detox Setting Schedule:

  • FT Days, 36 hour RN/LPN Position
  • 12 hour shifts
  • T, Wed, Sat
  • 7A-7P
PHP/IOP/OP Setting Schedule:
  • FT 40 hour RN/LPN position
  • 8 hour shifts
  • M-F
  • 7A-3P
Duties:
The staff nurse is a registered professional nurse who coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. The staff nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria. Clients are monitored on a 24 - hour basis and provided with a high level of medical, dietary and therapeutic care throughout their stay.
Essential Duties:
  • Completes the following documentation within 24 hours of the patient's admission to the program:
  • Nursing Admission Assessment, Suicide Risk Assessment and Psychotropic Medication Authorization forms.
  • Transcribes physician's orders and implement all medical protocols as ordered
  • Administers medications and monitors acute symptoms of psychiatric instability.
  • Confers with and assists the Medical Director and APRNs
  • Attends and participate in all "in-service" functions
  • Assists with emergency situations and make immediate referrals
  • Provides documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards
  • Maintains the confidential nature of all patients and facility activities
  • Maintains required training & continuing Education
  • Maintains standards of ethical conduct
  • Complies with all policies and procedures
  • Meets with patients requesting to see the doctor to determine the urgency of their medical needs and expedite treatment as required
  • Effectively communicates concerns about patient health to the Medical Director and APRNs and follows up as necessary
  • Under the supervision of the Nursing Director, assists in educating patients about health problems and medical care
  • Facilitates medication education for new patients and for all other patients starting new medications
  • Meets with therapists to provide information about patient medical problems
  • Assists the treatment team in incorporating medical issues into treatment planning
  • Takes verbal orders from the Medical Director and/or APRNs, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally
  • Communicate patient needs to the clinical team and/or operations team as needed
Necessary Qualification:
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health-care facility
  • Current Florida State Registered Nurse License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • CPI Training
  • Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
  • Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects.
  • Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
Experience:
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health-care facility treating co-occurring, mentally ill, or chemically dependent patients, with understanding of co-occurring disorders.
Salary Ranges:
LPN $28-$31 RN $32-$35 / Hourly
