Job description

WHO WE AREย Semler Brossy is a leading executive compensation consulting firm focused on executive and strategic pay. We serve a broad cross-section of companies across industries, from the largest global corporations to smaller, privately held firms. We help companies design and manage executive and leadership compensation, with careful consideration to each company's specific business and organizational realities. We are particularly adept at helping companies through significant change, including acquisitions, spin-offs, IPOs, turnarounds, and leadership transitions.

OUR ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT ROLEย Associate Consultants are the research and data analysis leads of our client service teams. Associates are skilled in solving problems with a clear and logical approach, executing data analysis, and sharing insights from analyses in materials (written) and meetings (verbal). Our Associates work on several ongoing client engagements at a time, and thus are responsible for proactively managing multiple workstreams to stay ahead and to effectively deliver great work for our clients.

WHY SEMLER BROSSYย Associate Consultants work across a broad range of critical business and compensation issues and have unparalleled exposure to the management teams and boards of directors at our clients. A staff of roughly 80 means you will know all of your colleagues and will work on multiple client teams with consistent exposure to and feedback from Partners and other senior leadership. We offer highly competitive pay and benefits, and our pay programs allow for meaningful upside for strong performers, as well as rapid career progression. We are committed to developing our Associates with substantial onboarding and ongoing training opportunities, ongoing feedback and mentorship, and the complete support needed to be successful and progress to each new career milestone.

WHO YOU AREย We are seeking candidates with the following attributes, as evidenced through education, work experience, and volunteer or extracurricular experience:

  • Great smarts and the ability to take on complex problems
  • Creativity to define innovative approaches and solutions
  • Intellectual curiosity about business and our work
  • Analytical thinker with very strong numeracy
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent writing skills, with ability to adapt to different styles
  • Emotional intelligence, including high sensitivity to what's going on with others
  • Ambition and motivation to make things happen
  • Commitment to professional growth and development of self and others

This is a paid, full-time opportunity availableย in our Los Angeles office starting in January 2027. Base compensation for this role is $100,000.ย  We also provide an annual bonus competitive with other leading consulting firms. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time. Please visit our website https://semlerbrossy.com/about-us/join-our-team/ which has a wealth of information on executive compensation in general, as well as our firm specifically. We appreciate your time and interest and look forward to hearing from you!

When completing your application, please use a non-university/college email address if you have one (i.e., use gmail, hotmail, etc); we find that our communications often are trapped in enterprise level filters.
