Job description

WHO WE ARE Semler Brossy is a leading executive compensation consulting firm focused on executive and strategic pay. We serve a broad cross-section of companies across industries, from the largest global corporations to smaller, privately held firms. We help companies design and manage executive and leadership compensation, with careful consideration to each company's specific business and organizational realities. We are particularly adept at helping companies through significant change, including acquisitions, spin-offs, IPOs, turnarounds, and leadership transitions.

OUR CONSULTANT ROLE Our Consultants are the project leaders of our client service teams. As a Consultant you will manage the day-to-day of client projects while working as part of a team to complete complex analyses and deliver results for clients. Over time, Consultants typically take on clients with increasing complexity of work and begin owning the client relationship. Semler Brossy Consultants successfully partner with clients, client managers, and with their teams.

In addition to project leadership, Consultants are expected to contribute to internal efforts such as the development of intellectual capital, thought leadership, building our systems and processes, engaging in research and article writing, and the development of our consulting staff and resources.

WHY SEMLER BROSSY Semler Brossy Consultants can expect a rewarding experience working across a broad range of critical business and talent issues, as well as unparalleled exposure to the management teams and boards of directors among our clients. A staff of roughly 80 means you will know all of your colleagues and will work on multiple client teams with consistent exposure to and feedback from Partners and other senior leadership.

Semler Brossy is extremely invested in professional development and provides comprehensive training as part of the onboarding experience, as well as ongoing individual coaching and development. Further, our work allows for accelerated advancement of specific technical expertise, which, with strong performance, can translate to rapid career progression. We offer highly competitive pay and benefits, and our pay programs allow for meaningful upside with strong performance.

WHO YOU ARE We are seeking candidates with the following attributes, as evidenced through education, work experience, and volunteer or extracurricular experience:

  • Undergraduate degree with strong academic background required; analysis-driven or business-related field preferred (e.g., economics, accounting, math, sciences, engineering) or equivalent in professional experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in the executive compensation field required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; mastery of Excel preferred
  • Analytical experience strongly preferred (e.g., numerical research, data analysis, Excel modeling)
  • Writing experience preferred (e.g., research reports, briefs, PowerPoint presentations)

This is a paid, full-time opportunity available in our Los Angeles office. Salary compensation range is $100,000-$180,000 subject to experience.  We also provide an annual bonus competitive with other leading consulting firms.  We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time. Please visit our website https://semlerbrossy.com/about-us/join-our-team/ which has a wealth of information on executive compensation in general, as well as our firm specifically. We appreciate your time and interest and look forward to hearing from you!
