Job description

Regional Sales Manager - Rockies


The individual in this role is responsible for meeting the sales objectives in the assigned region. The individual will be responsible for directing and coordinating sales activity in the region with distributors, developing project specific sales strategies and communicating project requirements to the company's manufacturing operations, construction divisions and management team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or related work experience.
  • 5-10 years of industrial sales management experience calling on oil & gas customers.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently in a home-based office.
  • Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills to include the ability to provide group presentations in a seminar environment.
  • Domestic travel is required.
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Valid US driver's license and safe driving history.

The following are preferred:

  • Technical knowledge and / or experience with FRP composites and or FRP composites tanks used in oil & gas applications.
  • Experience managing distributors.

Essential Functions:

  • Achieve sales objectives for the assigned region.
  • Initiate regional sales calls and training seminars with area distributors and representatives.
  • Develop project & customer specific sales and profitability strategy.
  • Instruct distributors, representatives, contractors, and customers concerning product applications.
  • Communicate & coordinate with management and Regional Sales Manager counterparts with regard to cross-region project sales activity requirements.
  • Visit customer facilities and/or construction jobsites to monitor project progress and customer satisfaction.
  • Target new customers, new applications and follow on sales leads.
  • Provide regional reporting regarding target projects & representative / distributor and representative effectiveness / updated market outlook for forecasting purposes / Distributor and Representative's contract management.
  • Investigate product complaints and assist customers and distributors in finding satisfactory solutions to sales and service problems.
  • Remain current in knowledge of competitive activities including product lines, pricing, services, market penetration. Report findings of such to management.
  • Participate in trade shows.
  • Keep tracking of sales leads & opportunities on CRM.
  • Responsible for Business Unit contract negotiation, customers NDAs in the designated region
