Job description

The group you'll be a part of At Lam, you'll be part of a growing Product Support Engineering team working with the Product group, Engineering groups, and Field Engineering teams, supporting a wide range of robotics products and platform types to our end user customers globally. The impact you'll make As a Regional Product Support Engineer at Lam, you're the backbone of technical support for field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel in the region (Taylor, Texas). Your expertise is crucial in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro-mechanical equipment, and software.

Your swift action in responding to situations is critical in resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction of Lam's valued customers. What you'll do Provides support to customers/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature. Develops customer confidence through credible recommendations and an understanding of the customer's perspective, supporting sales, service, and revenue.

Participates in Lam's worldwide technical community and actively shares knowledge and takes a leadership position to enhance worldwide learning and its application. Acts as technical mentor for field and account engineers and may design or conduct training sessions. Actively participates in platform field escalations, with an emphasis on Dextro primary support and secondary support for Lam platforms on Etch, Deposition, and Clean products.

Wafer Handling / Robotics experience required. Acquires and apply engineering theories, methods, and research techniques in the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical problems. Conducts and designs well-defined experiments and tests pertaining to the development of new methods, processes, hardware, standards, modifications of current material, components, software, or process specifications, and the resolution of complex technical problems.

Responsibilities include instituting and owning corrective actions and following through to assure proper release and handoff of solutions to Technical Services and Field Process/Field Service organizations. Highly quantitative, with the ability to articulate plans, including findings, data collected, and progress, to Lam's customers on a regular basis. Ability to travel up to 40%+.

Who we're looking for Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years semiconductor equipment experience. Mechatronics/robotics experience.

Knowledge of programming of C++ and Python for diagnostics. Strong oral and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills. Individual contributor who can work effectively in a remote setting, managing tasks and priorities without direct intervention.
