About SiTime

SiTime is the Precision Timing company.

Timing is the heartbeat of all electronics, ensuring performance, resilience and scalability. For decades, quartz devices, non-silicon technology, have kept systems in sync, but they struggle in harsher, more demanding environments. MEMS-based Precision Timing delivers greater accuracy, smaller size and resilience. Today, MEMS timing powers over 400 applications, including high-growth ones in AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT.

Our semiconductor MEMS programmable solutions offer a rich feature set that enables customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power, and better reliability. With more than 4 billion devices shipped, SiTime is changing the timing industry. For more information, visit: www.sitime.com .

Job Summary

Timing Products Division (TPD) is seeking a Senior Staff Product Engineer to lead the development and production ramp of state-of-the-art mixed-signal timing products. This is a unique opportunity to provide end-to-end product engineering leadership, from product conception and NPI through qualification, production release, yield improvement, and end-of-life.

The Senior Staff Product Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Test, Quality, Operations, Applications, and external suppliers to ensure products meet datasheet specifications, customer requirements, and applicable JEDEC/AEC quality standards. The role will also lead test strategy, product qualification, BOM management, yield optimization, and resolution of supplier and customer excursions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end product engineering ownership from product concept through end-of-life, with a focus on delivering high-quality products to customers.
  • Lead the definition and execution of ATE test, product qualification, and manufacturing strategies.
  • Drive new product introduction (NPI) and product release into manufacturing while ensuring compliance with stringent Tier 1 customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain datasheets, automotive compliance documentation, and product-related technical reports.
  • Own product Bill of Materials (BOM) release and maintenance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead supplier and customer excursion management, including root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and cross-functional resolution.
  • Drive yield improvement through statistical analysis, data mining, root-cause investigation, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor key product and manufacturing metrics, generate regular yield/performance reports, and communicate findings and improvement plans to product engineering teams and leadership.
  • Drive achievement of product engineering KPIs, including NPI execution and velocity, gross margin improvement, product quality, and failure-analysis cycle time.
  • Optimize PAT, SYL, SBL, SPC limits, and disposition strategies to protect product quality while minimizing unnecessary manufacturing waste.
  • Partner with design and test engineering teams to optimize product test coverage, DFT, manufacturability, and production robustness.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to product engineering team members and influence cross-functional technical decisions.
Qualifications & Requirements Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering.
  • Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuits, common circuit building blocks, semiconductor device physics, test methodologies, and Design-for-Test (DFT) concepts.
  • Strong analog circuit background is required; experience with semiconductor timing products such as PLLs and clock generators is highly desirable.
  • Experience with ATE tester platforms such as Teradyne J750 or Advantest 93K.
  • Experience developing and executing semiconductor product test plans and manufacturing test strategies.
  • Experience developing qualification hardware and/or software.
